Every Dollar Raised Goes to Child’s Play

Child's Play is a charitable organization that donates toys and games to children's hospitals worldwide. It was founded in 2003 by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, authors of the popular video games-related webcomic Penny Arcade.

Anyone who has ever had a kid have to spend a lot of time in a hospital knows how hard that is on the kid and their family.

What are we going to do about it?

Starting January 4th at 6 PM Pacific, we will run TWO SEPARATE Warhammer streams for 48 hours straight. We will create 96 hours of competitive focused, Warhammer 40k content. Plus, we will do so with some of the top players in the game. This will be very soon after the expected release of Chapter Approved. You’ll see top players, playing with whatever new Meta we will have in front of us. What a great way to get ready for LVO in February!

What’s it going to cost?

Both streams will be done absolutely for free.

If you want to watch, you can. We will ask that you make a donation to support Child’s Play. If you would, that would mean the world to us. If you simply can’t make that happen, that’s fine. Give it a watch.

Everyone who gives at least $30 to Child’s play will be entered into our Raffle. We will be drawing great prizes through the entire event.

All 96 hours of content will be recorded and made available after the event for a TBD fee (that will go to hosting costs, and the rest will go to Child’s Play).

 About the Streams:

Each Stream game will have 2 people playing and one person dedicated to watching the stream. They will take your questions and comments, and involve the players as is appropriate. One Stream will be on and the other stream will be at a TBD link.

Types of Events:

Nick’s New List Game -  Viewers use donations to decide what Nick and his opponent play. Both Players will have a week to assemble the best army they can from that choice. Want to see Nick play mono guard? Or how about Necrons? Now is your chance.

Top ITC RTT – At the time of the stream, we will look at FLG for the top 8 ranked members of our stream. We will then put 1 against 8, 2, against 7, etc… and do a 3 round, single elimination RTT.

BIFPOD live AMA Stream – We will do an AMA with Mitch, Colin, Nick and several others of our guest hosts where you can ask us about tournaments, the meta, list design or whatever else you want. That will be posted as an episode of BIFPOD for everyone to listen to on their devices, as well.

Story Time – Our presenters have been to a lot of tournaments. Colin and Nick will host a fireside chat about the funniest and most bizarre things that have happened at tournaments.

Nick Surprise Army Game -  Mitch and Colin will pull all of the best GT top 8 lists we can find over the past month or so. We will remove ones that we know Nick knows how to play. When Nick arrives at the table for that game, we will tell him, through a dice roll what he’s playing. He will then have 10 minutes to ask any of our streamers questions about the list he’s playing. You’ll get to hear what the best in the game wants to know, going into a match up with a new army.

Knight Joust – Four players, each brings 2,000 points of Knights only. King of the Hill style mission.

Games – The rest of our time slots will be filled with games, that will be all scheduled out as we get closer.
